The command line has long become a visual synonym deeply rooted in cultural memory for what hackers do and for their movements in data space. The prompt taken apart and re-configured as a loop is pulsating and sending impulses into space.

The work has to be seen in the context of many years of analyzing machine sign language, communicative interfaces and (net-art) projects dealing with bugs, error messages and the maxing out and playful alienation of technological tools.
